End User: Perth Transport AuthorityLocation: PerthClient: Aries RailAries Rail fitted a Hyrail system and a converted Palfinger Elevated Work Platform (EWP) to a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter for use on the Perth Metro Rail network.Sensor Solutions designed, programmed and commissioned the integrated Hyrail and EWP control system. The control system consisted of: An IFM Safety PLC for EWP monitoring and stability control An IFM HMI in the cab for control of the Hyrail system and operator interface for the combined system 3 x IFM basic displays for control of the stabilisers and operator interface for the EWP 4 x IFM ioControl modules for non-safety I/O switching

GM Mining Electrics converted an Atlas Copco Simba Drill from Hydraulic Operation to Electric over Hydraulic Operation and built a remote cabin so that the drill could be operated safely in unstable ground conditions. They also installed remote cameras and a video system to enable the operator to view the drill head and cabin controls.
Sensor Solutions provided ruggedised IFM PLC modules located on the drill and a Unitronics integrated PLC and HMI in the remote cabin along with software engineering, programming and commissioning services. The software included:
Remote monitoring of pressure transducers and switches
Calibration and remote control and of 16 axes of movement using PWM operated hydraulic valves
Pan,tilt,zoom control of 2 cameras
Emergency Stop and Barrier Monitoring
